Welcome growers!

This year, autumn flowers and decided to make me paint my garden... a little ahead of schedule. Sorts dahliasUsually bloom in September, suddenly chosen for their flowering late July. Now, however, continue to work properly and draw a picture of a beautiful garden. gladiolus They bloom a little later (now some varieties already wither - and pity), and in one of his landings, I noticed curves flower stalks.

I planted gladioli in two places: in the country and around the apartment building. I tried to break a flower bed at the entrance, under the windows. To the courtyard looked beautiful and pleasing plants neighbors... Well, me of course!

That took away two prikopalis the pot with petunias and the day before yesterday dug pink chrysanthemums, I keep silence. I used to, that you should not expect from others appropriate behavior. Unfortunately, some members of our society, when faced with something beautiful, is experiencing one of three senses: obos * at, break or steal

At the cottage I grew beautiful, perfectly normal gladioli. Here are 3 photos (scroll to the right in the image):

And now look what I grew up near the house:

It happens. And what is your favorite color of gladioli?

I love flowers. I - a tireless practitioner and theorist curious in one bottle (in fact, for this reason, and lead your channel). Therefore, I find a list of possible errors and realized that played a role, and that - no.

The problem is familiar to you? I would be glad if my check list and explanations will be helpful. We are looking for a cause 👇

Options why gladiolus twists / V / tilting spike

1. Excess nitrogen and calcium deficiency. Nitrogen is responsible for the growth of the green part, makes stems stretch and reach for the sky. Excess macro element is usually found at the florist who love mindlessly spice beds with all sorts of manure and aromatic derivatives. Calcium is responsible for the hardness of the "skeleton" of the plant.

The result - is clear: stick fast stretches, but it is not enough solid, so tilted.

It's definitely not my case. Because nitrogen fertilizer had been fed only in May, and summer use complex mineral fertilizers, which is composed of a whole bunch of microelements. Including calcium.

2. Late with planting corms. Early planting, yet cold, causes the first plant to build the roots, and only with a warm start to grow. Gladiolus, buried in the warm weather, just go to the greens. Disproportion root / aerial part of leads, as we have already guessed, to the slope of the peduncle.

This point, I also brushed off immediately. And in the country, and I planted in the house at one time. It seems that in the beginning of May.

3. "Small landing". If the plant gladiolus close to the surface, the higher the boom with flowers will be unstable. With this I had also no problems and planted everywhere equally. Here, incidentally, is a reminder:

You can use the following rule: the depth of planting corms = diameter * 3.

Live and learn!

4. And now, my mistake. Its characteristic feature - turns the spike, as if wrapping around the spiral. The answer to the riddle is simple: heavy flowers, spreading evenly, moving behind the sun and tilt "sword" it back and forth. The problem would have solved the high peg and timely garter with the growth of the flower stalk, but at home I set too low. Put a "Thumbs Up" if you love gladiolus and my report was interesting!
