Conceived to make an experiment to heat water in an ordinary PET bottle. The fact that it is winter and I have to clean up a house in the village, while the thirsty, cold tap water. And so as not to catch a cold throat conceived to heat a gas burner. Since water has a high thermal conductivity, no wonder it is poured into the radiators, it hoped that the bottle is melted into holes and I will be able to implement his plan.

Experiment

Accumulated water in the bottle and did not tighten the cap, lit the torch and began warming.

Since the burner flame is focused, the container starts to deform, but the water has fulfilled its function of heat dissipation and the plastic is not burnt through. Part of the moisture leaked out due to the decrease of volume of the vessel. Heating took place successfully and I was able to drink, not to chill neck.

Of course, this extreme way, but working, it is better not to use the burner, and the stray fire source.
