22 December - Feast of the country's power industry

Hello dear subscribers and visitors of my channel. Today is a significant and symbolic day when the power of our country celebrate their professional holiday. Today, not only do I want to congratulate all the people who in one way or another involved in the celebration, but also a bit to tell the story of our energy.

Why Energy is celebrated December 22

Date December 22 was chosen. Back in 1966 May 23 decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in honor of the memory of the adoption of the State Plan Electrification of Russia (electrification), which has been accepted for execution on 8 All-Russian Congress of Soviets back in 1920 year.

It is with the signing of this historic document it is assumed that started the electrification of our great country!

Just curious fact that this date coincides with the shortest day and the longest night of the year - the winter solstice.
