I made an easel with my own hands. Every father can make such a gift: it costs a penny

My daughter loves to draw, and I do all sorts of things with my own hands. I decided to combine business with pleasure and made her an easel as a gift. As a result, the child is delighted, and friends say that the easel turned out better than the store one. If you have children, this craft will not go unnoticed. You can adjust the sizes for yourself.

It all started, of course, with a trip to a hardware store. We will need:

• wooden block 40x20x2 000 - 6 pcs.
• self-tapping screws 4x35 - about 30 pcs.
• construction loop - 1 pc.
• bolts М8х70, nuts and washers - 4 pcs.
• dowels (self-tapping screws 4x50) - 8 pcs.
• braid - 1.5 m.
• varnish, paint, oil, impregnation at your discretion.

I will not say the exact amount for everything, the check has not been preserved. About 700 rubles. I didn't consider finishing. I'll tell you more about it below.

I see no point in showing the assembly process of the main frame in detail. Everyone knows how to tighten screws :-) If you suddenly have questions, write in the comments, I will answer and add a photo. For now, I will give the dimensions, and show clearly what should turn out.

The folding support (135 cm in the photo) is better to be made a little longer, and then cut in place.

The width of the legs at the base was made for a standard furniture size - 60 cm. You never know where to install. Better not be wider than the standard. Slopes are arbitrary. The main thing is symmetrical.

In addition to the frame, it is necessary to make movable elements to fix the picture. They move up and down along the central stand of the easel. This is how everything looks assembled before finishing.

Moving elements were made in the form of wooden I-beams. A rail is pulled to them with a bolt, which fixes the structure on the easel frame.

Collected "I-beams" for glue and dowels, but you can fix it with self-tapping screws. Before assembly, we insert a mortgage element into them - a bolt or a nut, as it is more convenient for anyone.

There are two such movable elements. The top is 12 cm long, the bottom is 50 cm. Here is a close-up photo for clarity:

Yes, I almost forgot, I secured the folding leg with a dense wide band at the level of the lower crossbar of the easel.
