Thermal insulation of the pipeline according to the system of Yakov Izrailevich
Shalom, brothers!
Today I will tell you how a foreman named Yakov Izrailevich suggested to me an ingenious and trouble-free pipeline insulation system, which I have been successfully using for 10 years.
My summer cottage is uneven: the elevation difference is about 3 meters from edge to edge. Accordingly, I physically could not deeply deepen the water pipe from the well and the sewer pipe to the septic tank.
There are places where the pipe is buried at a ridiculous 40-45 centimeters deep, and if it were not for the cunning system, the pipe would constantly freeze through.
How to insulate a pipeline?
Water into the house and drains from the house pass through a polyethylene pipe with a diameter of 50 mm From freezing, the pipe is "packed" in five different layers:
- 1) the pipe is braided with metallized tape (150 rubles / pack);
- 2) a heating cable 12 W / m is attached to the pipe with plastic ties (price - 150 rubles / meter);
- 3) foil tape is again wound over the cable - it reflects heat from the cable back to the pipe (150 rubles / pack) ;
- 4) this whole structure is encased in foam pipe insulation and buried in the ground (insulation price - 40 rubles / meter);
- 5) a frost-thawing "lens" of 50 mm foam is made over the pipe in the ground (price - about 150 rubles per square meter).
The assembled system before burying it in the ground should look something like this:
With this multilayer construction, my pipes never freeze and I have water and a city toilet in an ordinary country house. Thanks to Yakov Izrailevich.
