How to make a panoramic balcony not only beautiful, but also warm?

Balconies with panoramic glazing are beautiful, but in the conditions of harsh Russian winters (this winter does not count) it is also very cold. Moreover, many developers place such balconies outside of thermal circuits - heating is simply not provided there.

On the one hand, there are smart guys who carry radiators to the balcony. Like these:

On the other hand, there is a civilized way to insulate the floor on the balcony, like this one.

We will insulate the balcony with two layers of polystyrene foam (expanded polystyrene foam) 50 mm thick and a layer of plywood 15 mm thick. This is enough to insulate a balcony in central Russia.

1) We mount a frame made of bars on the floor.

2) Laying the cells in sheetsexpanded polystyrene,precisely cut to fit. We put it in two layers.

3) We lay the plywood. The main thing is not to allow 4 corners of different sheets to converge in 1 place.

It's nice to work when it's such weather outside the window.

4) As planned, the spouses laid a layer of artificial turf on top of the plywood. It is made of plastic, but also very soft and beautiful.

It turned out to be a solid insulation cake:
100 mm expanded polystyrene
15mm plywood
10 mm artificial turf on a continuous backing.

The balcony is now very warm and (thanks to my wife) beautifully.
