Simple rules that will save a well from silt
Hello everyone! In this article, we will talk about a very pressing problem - well silting. We will tell you which wells can get silted up, why and most importantly, how to avoid it.
Disclaimer
Read the article to the end, even if the first rules seem simple and obvious to you. Further more!
Rule one.
The well must be produced immediately after being drilled. Drilling a well and going on vacation is not the best idea, since the intake part of any new wells (both for sand and limestone) are easily silted up in 1 month.
Optimally arrange new well 5-6 washes every 10-12 days for 2-3 hours. Only after the sixth flush can the well be operated normally (without additional pumping).
The second rule.
Remember two simple nots.
-
Not recommended use vibration pump for wells
on the sand (which means that you can use a vibrator, but low-power). - CANNOT use vibration pump for wells on limestone. Even 1 hour of pump operation is enough to clog the water intake part.
Rule three.
If you use the well seasonally, then it is at risk. Before the start of each summer cottage season, I recommend opening the well and measuring the water mirror, the static level.
Only on the basis of these measurements can the pump be lowered to one or another depth. Ideally, record the measurement results and watch the dynamics from year to year. If the water level has dropped by more than a meter, it's time to clean the well.
I described the simplest cleaning method in this article:
- How we flushed the well with a regular bottle for 25 rubles (although the bailer for 10,000 did not help)
