In England, an eco-house was built from hemp panels
The owners of the Margent farm have built a unique house - it is made of prefabricated hemp panels, and therefore, according to the builders, it is absolutely environmentally friendly and does not emit carbon.
In England, hemp has long been used to make clothes and even shoes, but it was used as a building material for the first time. The fibers of the plant are mixed with lime and made into blocks. It turns out a cheaper analogue of concrete blocks.
The house itself, by the way, looks like this:
Huge panoramic windows, a roof made of profiled sheet metal, downpipes, spot lighting - all this looks very cool.
Another big plus is that due to lime, pests like mice or rats will never start in such a house, and neither fungus nor mold will spread. Lime will scare away everyone except the owners of the house, of course.
The interior of the house is also environmentally friendly - from large hemp panels with an epoxy resin base with a groove-and-groove system: assembled in just 2-3 days.
The load-bearing elements of the house are made of 200 * 200 wooden beams, which ensures greater wall thickness and the reliability of the entire structure.
Your opinion?
- Will such a house be warm in winter?
- Guess the cost of construction (I'll write the answer in the comments)?
- Can you live happily ever after in a house made of lime?
