A sight for sore eyes: what can be done from an old stump in the country?
Surely many of you have stumps from deciduous trees in their summer cottages (or will soon be expected). Of course, the simplest thing to do with them is to chop them into wood with a cleaver and burn them for May. However, I propose to make a real feast for the eyes of the stumps, which will decorate your garden and cottage for several years.
In this collection, we have selected the best ideas that can be brought to life in just 2-3 hours and with a minimal budget.
Idea 1: sundial
All you need is to grind the top cut of the hemp using a coarse-grained grinder, then drill a hole in the center of the "dial" with a drill. After that, burn the numbers on the stump with an ordinary soldering iron or magnifying glass. I made roman. If it turned out beautifully, then praise in the comments!
Idea 2: part of the rock garden (rockery)
Who said that only stones can be put in a rock garden and non-aggressive plants can be planted?
A small stump, if you cover it with a wooden roof (and the roof - with moss or lichen), cut out windows and tiny doors from plywood will elegantly decorate any alpine slide. The main thing is that large stumps are not required for this - a baby of 30-40 cm is enough.
Idea 3. Flower garden inside the stump
Armed with a drill, drills, crowns and a chisel, any man whose arms grow from the right place can easily make a notch in an old stump.
Add nutritious soil inside and plant undemanding plants - the same stone rose (pictured on the left). It will turn out awesome, I recommend!
Praise your resourcefulness in the comments!
And do not be ill, please.
