DIY hand antiseptic: doctor's prescription
Hello, friends.
So I ran into a problem. There are no sanitizers on sale, but you need to treat your hands with something. I began to study the issue. How much obscurantism has appeared on the Internet on this topic. Hundreds of antiseptic recipes. How to choose one that works and not put yourself at risk?
I believe that in such situations you can only trust the opinion of a professional doctor. One of authoritative doctors for me - Dr. Komarovsky. Here's the recipe he shared and a couple of comments.
Antiseptic recipe from a doctor
Medical alcohol - 240 ml
Hydrogen peroxide 3% - 15 ml
Glycerin - 5 ml
Water - 80 ml
Here is a link to the video of Dr. Komarovsky, where he talks about the preparation of an antiseptic:

What you need to know about alcohol
In practice, I was faced with the fact that all the components are on sale, but it is not so easy to find medical alcohol. I had to look for substitutes. The most suitable options:
- Ethanol. He's ethanol. He's a regular moonshine.
- Isopropyl alcohol. He's isopropanol.
The video did not say anything about the concentration of alcohol. But they said that the concentration of the final solution should be 75%. I will assume that one of the components is PURE medical alcohol (96%).
If we use a substitute, it may be necessary to change the amount of water.
You can measure the initial concentration of alcohol with an alcohol meter and calculate the required amount of water by proportion. Be sure to take into account hydrogen peroxide and glycerin.
You can go empirically. We add water last. Before doing this, place the alcohol meter in a container with a solution. Add water until the alcohol concentration reaches 75%. The antiseptic is ready.
Friends, don't panic. Be skeptical about information from pseudo-specialists. Listen to doctors' recommendations. Be healthy!
