All winter I saved eggs to improve the harvest. I tell you why and show the results of the last year
Hello everyone! Today I will tell you one of the most important, but at the same time, simple tricks that increase yields and make the vegetables you grow really healthy and tasty.
A minute of entertaining chemistry.
Did you know that the shell of an ordinary chicken egg (even a factory one) contains not only calcium carbonate (which is obvious), but also 26 other chemical elements.
Among the most important for humans are copper, zinc, silicon, phosphorus, iron and manganese. One of the rare elements - molybdenum.
I assure you that you will not get molybdenum in any mineral fertilizer, only in an eggshell.
What to do with eggs in spring?
All winter I have been collecting eggshells in large galvanized buckets. For 5 months, as many as 3 buckets have accumulated - you might think that I eat eggs almost every day, they say - this is too much.
Important!
Before putting the egg, be sure to rinse it with water - the remaining protein is useless - the egg will begin to mold and rot. We don't need it.
Now is the time in spring to grind the eggs to a finer fraction. To do this, we use smaller containers and a hammer, although a wooden rolling pin is, in principle, also suitable for this.
Now for the most important rule ...
I would not recommend scattering eggshells "just like that" on the beds - the ubiquitous sparrows and magpies will immediately begin to peck them.
It is better and smarter to get enough sleep for grated shells on a rainy day - under the influence of water, the shell will decompose faster and release nutrients into the soil.
Birds do not fly in the rain and do not have time to peck an egg delicacy.

Last year I sprinkled eggshells twice, and the harvest came out excellent, leaf through the photos:
