Blue sea at their summer cottage: planting a viper muscari onion

Pabout tradition, at the very beginning of the dacha season we try to plan the work until its completion: somewhere minor repairs are required, somewhere we want to install garden decor, etc.

This September, the most ambitious plan will be to plant a huge flower bed with plants of incredible beauty.

Bwe are going to plant Viper bow, he's - Mouse hyacinth, or, as it is beautifully called abroad - Muscari.

Muscari (accent on "a") - the closest relative of the hyacinth, which blooms for an unusually long time (up to 4 weeks) and is usually blue or pale pink. This will be an excellent decoration for any summer cottage.

We plan to plant muscari in the same way as shown in the photo above: to make between the trees a solid blue river of flowers with small islands of tulips of yellow or rare coral color.

Good trait Muscari - short stature. They rarely grow more than 25 centimeters, and the plant itself is not aggressive, it does not interfere with others and does not crawl sideways, and therefore is excellent for planting on an alpine slide.

Despite the fact that the plant looks gorgeous in any landscape, the price for 1 bulb is very symbolic - only 7 rubles. Thus, with a budget of 1000 rubles, you can safely buy almost 150 bulbs, which in a year will cover an area of ​​about 20 square meters.

The germination capacity of viper onion bulbs is higher than that of seeds, so we will plant it with bulbs, although it is more expensive.
