How to clean the chimney from soot without climbing on the roof of your house?

Friends, I greet you! Most of my readers are familiar with the problem of a clogged stove chimney, so I think you will benefit from my experience in cleaning the chimney with improvised means.

Someone will say, they say, you need to heat it with dry clean wood, then there will be no soot in the chimney, and it will be right. But what if firewood is expensive, or it is possible to bring home "free-of-charge" fuel ???

In that case, here are my three chimney cleaners. (in ascending order of efficiency).

Method one.

I remember when my grandmother as a child saw me peeling potatoes, she said that during the war she would kill me for this - a bunch of potatoes that can be eaten remain on the peelings.

But for cleaning the chimney from soot, this is just fine - the fact is that potato starch when burning, it soars up sharply and literally burns through all the soot on the chimney.

What to do:
We dry the cleaning, save at least one 10-liter bucket and burn it in the oven - the soot will go away by itself.

Method two.

If no more than half a centimeter of soot has accumulated on the walls of the chimney, simply heat the stove firmly with dry aspen wood. They give little heat, but the tongues of flame rise high - what is needed to clean the chimney.

Method three. Most effective.

We take one or two (in no case more) tablets of the usual naphthalene and throw them into the fire. After that, quickly close the oven door.

A cotton is heard in the firebox, from which the soot systematically flies down the chimney.

Someone said that from naphthalene there were cases when the chimney burst, but I have not seen this in practice. If this is true - please share your experience in the comments!
