What cross section of wires to choose for sockets and light (electrician advice)
In order for the wiring not to fail after the very first start of the iron and other electrical appliances, it is important to choose the right cross-section of wires for sockets and lighting fixtures. I'll talk about this in this article.
1) For all wiring in an apartment or a country house, I recommend using the VVG-NGls cable, or simply VVG-NG. Just accept it as imperative. If you need more information, I will explain in the comments.
2) To connect all sockets, a 3 * 2.5 mm wire is used, the line is protected by a 16 amp diff automatic.
3) To connect lighting devices (chandeliers, spots, spotlights, etc.), a wire of a smaller cross-section is used: 3 * 1.5 mm, for line protection - a 10 amp automatic machine, respectively.
4) The loggia is a special case, so the wiring here must be made thick (3 * 2.5 mm), as for any outlet, the machine is 16 amperes.
5) If an air conditioner is installed in the house, it is forbidden to plug it into a common outlet - we make a separate line 3 * 2.5 mm, an automatic machine - 16 amperes. It is prohibited to "cross" condoes with sockets.
6) All wires are laid along the ceiling and go down strictly at an angle of 90 degrees, without sags and arcs. Weak current (lighting, TV, twisted pair) is laid in orange corrugation, cables to outlets - in black.
7) Do you want to install an instantaneous water heater? Do not skimp on wires, take 3 * 6 mm and a 32 ampere machine.
