The neighbor did not believe that we were throwing 20 tons of sand by hand, but we knew the trick
Situation: we put a pole for the future fence, and after that we needed a whole machine of sand (20 tons), and despite the fact that the distance between the posts was 7.5 meters, the two-axle KamAZ could not back up to our site - the alley at the dacha is too narrow, only 3.2 meters.
So the young driver had to pour all 20 tons of sand directly onto the garden alley. Some measly 200-300 kilograms of sand fell on the site.
The neighbors did not believe that the two of us would cope with the transfer of this pile of sand to the site. But we had a cunning plan ..
To transfer all the sand (for a minute, 20 tons), we applied three construction tricks at once.
The first trick.
On the edge of the place where the sand was poured, we spread a thick plastic wrap, and then together we pulled it onto the site. According to our estimates, they pulled about 400-500 kilograms, which means they deprived themselves of the "pleasure" of swinging a shovel 200-250 times.
The second trick.
In winter, we use a snow scraper to remove snow from the site - it has a wide handle that can be taken by two people at once. We used it to remove the "cap" from a heap of sand - in one fell swoop it removes 50-60 kilograms - very convenient.
The third trick.
It is difficult to throw sand with a shovel, after 100-120 movements the lower back gets tired, so wherever possible, we used a wide hoe - it is convenient for her to "tighten" the sand to the area - this is how other muscle groups are involved, and the lower back rests.
We coped with the transfer of 20 tons of sand in 3 hours, although everyone around us assured us that we would not be able to handle it until morning. The main thing is to use your wit and have different devices at hand. Anything will come in handy!
