How caustic soda keeps me from cleaning my sump for years

Any summer resident, and even more so a resident of a country house, is familiar with the problem with a rapidly filling septic tank or cesspool. In summer, this is facilitated by a bathhouse and a washing machine, and for those who are richer, also a dishwasher.

Our family is an exception in this case, because we studied well at school, and are not shy about using different tricks for our cesspool.

In the video I collected "the most juice" - our TOP-3 ways to reduce the load of the cesspool, which allow us to pump out its contents once a year or two.

🔥 A hot discussion of my life hacks - in the comments to the article! 🔥

For those who were too lazy to watch the video, I will also write a text version:

  • Method one purely scientific, it is based on transpiration - the ability of trees to draw moisture from the soil and lift it up to the leaves. Leaves bask in the sun and release moisture into the air. You will be surprised, but even a birch can pump up to 250 liters of water a day!
  • Method two

    - pour caustic soda (caustic soda) - it liquefies solid waste to the state of water, and my bird cherry (pictured above) quietly absorbs moisture from the roots.
  • Method three - just divide the drains into two categories: in one pit, the drain from the toilet goes, and in the second pit - from the kitchen and shower (there is only water).

These clever (or not so) methods allow me not to use the services of sewers and save up to 10-12 thousand rubles a year.
