Metal tile sheet joints. I have not been able to get the perfect result.
Everyone strives for the ideal, especially self-builders like me. But, in some situations, doubts arise:
Is this ideal even possible?
All my construction, from foundation to roof, is a constant pursuit of perfection. It seems to me that all this is inherent, only for beginners like me. And most importantly, in most cases, reality is not as colorful as your imaginations.
So it happened with the roof.
When laying metal tiles, I concentrated on the joints of the sheets themselves, and the evenness along the edges of the sheathing. As for the plane of the roof itself, I could only influence this by a good compression, with self-tapping screws.
But, even following all the rules, having finished laying the material, I was not entirely happy with the result.
Overall, everything looked good.
πΉ But take a step to the side, at a certain angle, jambs came out ...
The vertical joints of the sheets loomed over the entire plane. Moreover, looking closely, there were no clear protrusions of the sheets, because I also went through all the joints with self-tapping screws.
Rather, it looked like a different reflection of light, shimmering precisely at the joints.
The first thought is why it happened.
The only reason can be called the imperfect plane of the crate. But in general, can everything be perfect?
β It seems to me that even on a perfectly flat surface, the joints will still be higher than the plane, due to the thickness of the metal. And this is what catches the eye at a certain angle.
After that, I looked at other examples.
There are a lot of them around, just look around ...
It's just worth walking around and paying attention to it.
β And here you understand that everything is learned in comparison.
My work turned out to be of much better quality than anything that my eye fell on. So, I'm not that bad self-builder ...
Although, in myself, I never doubted.
Friends, maybe I'm wrong??? I ask all specialists to express their opinion, in the comments, it is very interesting, to know the truth ...
