Hidden costs on my metal tile roof. How much money did you end up spending?

Once again, the issue of finance at my construction site. And again, the story is that things are not as obvious as they seem.

“How to calculate the exact budget of your construction site?” Is an eternal question that an ordinary amateur self-builder cannot cope with. I'm not an exception...

And the most interesting thing is that you already seem to know about this, and still every time - on the same rake.

I already wrote an article about how much did it cost me to build a box of a house with a roof, presently. This topic seemed important to me, and judging by the interest in the article, my readers too, it is interesting. Therefore, I decided to go deeper into the details ...

The roof is one of the prime examples.

Or rather, roofing. I used metal tiles in my house.

✅ And, as always, before buying all the materials, in my head (like many newbies in construction) There was only one position:

The material itself is metal.

It seemed to me that the main thing was to calculate the amount of material and its cost. And the rest is all the little things ...

On a gable roof (10 x 6.5 meters each slope) I have spent 54000 R. + delivery 2500 R.(sheets of 2, 25 m.)

And after that came the "minor details".

Roofing screws.

In total, I spent 6000 rubles for fasteners. Self-tapping screws made by "Taiwan" are not the worst.

Additional elements.

• Cornice strip, 12 pieces - 6600 R.
• Skate element, 6 pcs - 3200 R.
• Ridge aero element, 2 rolls - 5000 R.

Well, some "little things".

• Sheet cutting tool - 3000 R.,
• Paint for removing scratches - 500 R.,
• I also had to buy metal tiles (not enough) - 3000 R.

❗ So, little by little, a large amount came up.

And in the end, to the basic amount of 54,000 rubles. more than half was added - almost 30,000 rubles.

And once again, it all came out only in the process ...

But in fact, I was not very surprised by this, already having some experience. Although I hoped for a miracle... 😁. Rather, I was convinced once again that you need to be ready for anything and just solve the problem.

The roof is standing, which means another step towards life in your home has been made. And this is the main point.
