The result of using cheap foam glue. I decided to save 500 rubles, and got a crooked masonry.

Saving + poor experience is an explosive mixture that, most often, leads to poor results.

Another story from the category "I thought so", "you can't save on the construction site", "again on the same rake" etc... But apparently the jambs are an integral part of the path of the self-builder.

I already wrote an article that he decided to build walls for the toilet and bathroom.

After laying the main walls at home, I realized that the glue foam does its job perfectly. And although there, I did not dare to do the entire masonry in this way (I used foam only on verticals), then on a non-bearing, lightweight partition, I decided to experiment.

And the main mistake was in choosing the very glue-foam.

Even at the forefront of my house, I had experience of using different brands, and I settled on "Titan". And its main advantage, precisely in the laying of blocks, was the minimum secondary expansion.

But apparently, then I learned this lesson badly.

And I decided to save a little on an irresponsible design. The funny thing is that this savings came out no more than 500 rubles (on several cylinders), and the result is incomparably worse.

The glue-foam, the instructions of which also stated "the use of cellular blocks for laying", actually showed a terrible result.

No, this is not my crooked eye. Although I am a newbie in construction, but not so much.

This is a prime example of the concept of secondary foam expansion, which I mentioned earlier. In the laying of blocks, it is very important.

And the foam I used was big. And having set the blocks exactly, I went away for a while. And when I returned, I found an unevenly squeezed block. And you can't move it anymore ...

❗On light elements - this is especially important.

Even reducing the amount of foam did not give the desired result. And all the walls of the partitions turned out "like a bull in the village ...". Curves!

But that didn't really upset me.

Of course, everything can be corrected in the process of interior decoration. And the small curvature does not affect the strength of the structure. But still, a small imprint remained... I hope after this incident, I will approach the issue of savings more thoughtfully.
