A metal corner, a basin, and logs... On this "foundation" my change house stood for more than 20 years.
Building building strife. And if a good house "for centuries" needs an appropriate foundation, then you can save money on a shed with a tool. But there is a limit to everything ...
Especially when you rely only on yourself, and finances are not unlimited, you have to delve into such issues as much as possible in order to to do well and not expensive.
Although on the foundation of my house, I was not trying to save a lot. However, the cost of making a mistake is too high. And you can experiment with a change house.
Moreover, it certainly won't be worse ...
This iron shed is already about 20 years old, and he is the first who settled on my site (back in my childhood). And all this time he stood on the "super-foundation":
- At two corners, the support was metal corners, which were already almost laid down.
- On one corner, there was nothing at all, only the ground. And another edge stood on... Basin ๐. Yes, an ordinary basin.
This is just an example when my dad proceeded from his situation: The shed itself is assembled from various scraps of shipbuilding production (
worked at the shipyard), and the foundation from what was at hand. Although in those conditions, without electricity on the site, you could not imagine better.Continuing this tradition, I also decided to make a new base from what is on the site. We need to put this pile of scrap metal somewhere ...
But I approached this more thoroughly:
- Metal posts (not basins) in the corners.
- Plus additionally protected them from corrosion.
I think on this basis, the change house will last a long time. At least not less ...
