I am rearranging the change house to a new place. How I did it alone, with a homemade jack and a winch that didn't make it to the end.
We need to finish building the house, but here I am fiddling with this "iron box"... But the work needs to be completed, since I started.
- Everything is ready for work:
- The pillars are buried.
- The strapping is done.
- The change house has been raised to the required level.
Now it is the most responsible and laborious part of the work.
- You need to move the change house half a meter to the side.
- Put on a new foundation.
- And on it, turn the change house 90 degrees.
Everything went well at first.
Since the temporary supports under the shed were logs, she drove along them just fine.
For this I buried the "anchor", in the form of a column, and with the help of a winch, I safely moved the change house to the required distance.
The easy part ended there ...
In theory, turning the change house 90 degrees is not difficult, provided that all surfaces are flat, and nothing will catch or touch.
In fact, of course, everything is different.. A change house with curved edges at the bottom, and my new foundations made of scrap metal are, frankly, not perfect.
In some places I sawed off too much, of course, but it didn't really help ...
So I had to use my own "self-made jack".
✅First, I lifted one of the edges of the shed, and then pulled everything with a winch. Thus, everything went much faster ...
But almost at the very end, and the jack went out of order and the cable broke at the winch.
I had to "risk the health" of my car jack, and push everything using a piece of pipe as a lever.
All this work took a lot of effort.
But in the end, the result was achieved, and the change house stands on a new foundation.
At least now it doesn't rot on the ground. And we will still do the finishing ...
