The installation of the small window proved to be the most difficult. I get the first experience of installing windows, I take into account the nuances for the future.

And so, all the nuances have been sorted out, preparation has been carried out, it's time to practice. A 500 by 500 window is the best option.

However, practice, as always, has revealed nuances that no one talks about.

I have already written that my little window turned out to be without reinforcement. And of course the anchor plates that I drilled to the frame weren't the pinnacle of secure attachment. But for such a window, it will be enough.

But fixing the frame in the opening turned out to be the most difficult thing.

At first, the fact that it was very light interfered here. I did not foresee any special temporary fasteners, and tried to act according to the following scheme:

1. I set the frame on a level.

2. Temporarily fastened to two anchor plates, one black self-tapping screw.

3. The remaining two, he fixed already completely, and returned to the previous ones.

But in fact, everything was constantly shifting and sliding out at the slightest touch.

It would be much easier if there were quarters in the opening.

But in my through openings, there was nothing to lean on. And this made the task more difficult.

❗ It took a long time of course, but in the end, the frame was fixed.

I immediately hung the sash on it, and checked the operation of all mechanisms. And even without foam, the frame stood tight and did not move.

And the finishing touch was the joint filling.

At first I tried to do it from one side to the full depth, but it doesn't work well. And all because of the same lack of quarters in the opening.

✅ Therefore, at first the window was foamed inside, and then it was refined outside.. It takes longer, but it turns out better, and without unnecessary excessive consumption of foam.

Having fiddled with this window like that, I thought that on the big ones everything would be much more complicated, but it turned out the opposite. But more on that in the following articles.
