You say that the concrete is of poor quality? I checked my homemade jumpers for strength, and was convinced of the opposite.
This test was passed when installing plastic windows in my house. I expected that it would be easy to fix the frame in aerated concrete, but I forgot that there are also concrete lintels in the opening.
After pouring them a little less than a year has passed.
And only now the opportunity turned up to check what I built there.
When installing the windows, the upper anchor plates just fell onto the lintels.
And I considered this a plus, because the window will hold much more securely. But in fact, it turned out to be the most dreary part of the job.
β First, anyone who has ever drilled concrete with reinforcement knows that no matter how hard you try, you will find yourself in reinforcement somewhere... I had it in half of the holes exactly, although it seemed to me that I knew where I laid the reinforcement.
And the second - this is concrete itself, it was very difficult to drill.
This is the case when you are standing in an uncomfortable position, and with the last of your strength you press on the drill to finally drill this hole, and at the same time you are glad that everything is so hard. After all, the more difficult this work is, the stronger and more reliable the jumpers are.
Although remembering how I mixed it, I cannot say that I did everything according to the rules. At least, I definitely poured more water into the solution than needed, to facilitate laying the mixture into the formwork. But, as I was convinced, this did not particularly affect the quality.
But still, this is not a guide to action.
Rather, it is an example of the fact that beginners are lucky... π But seriously, you just need to know when to stop and be able to act according to the situation. Specifically for your situation.
β Well, the windows fit perfectly well in aerated concrete, but if they are fastened to concrete, they certainly are not in danger.
