I have not seen beets, cucumbers and zucchini in the city center yet
Busy intersection in the center of Krasnodar. The intersection of Turgenev and Dzerzhinsky streets. August 10, 2020. The year is important because self-isolation has clearly played a fatal role in this action.
Car enthusiasts and passengers of trolley buses, buses and minibuses can admire the cucumber vines. And if you go into the yard, you will find beets under your feet:
Along the path to the entrance, NOT marigolds, and NOT petunias, but zucchini:
And more zucchini:
True, there are no fruits, maybe they have borne temporarily.
This is the first time I see such a piece of garden and landscape art. Watering all this stuff late at night. My father and I almost tripped over a hose once, so we learned the secret of juicy greenery in the endless heat.
And do not think that this is the work of some restless grandmother. The city garden was organized by a new neighbor of his parents, about 30 years old.
And all the plants are healthy! A couple of leaves with powdery mildew were on the zucchini, the owner cut off, and everything is again exemplary.
I can't say that I wish everyone such gardens. At first, I only thought about how it is not environmentally friendly! And then I realized that the decision is very worthy of respect in the current situation. It's not a young man to watch serials.
I am interested in your opinion, was it worth planting a vegetable garden in the center of a million-plus city?
I would be grateful for your subscription and communication :)
