It got colder, the mice climbed into the house and the cat does not save. Made a 100% mousetrap in a couple of minutes
The story is the same every year. With the onset of cold weather, mice seek shelter for themselves. They climb into the house, garage, cellar. Damn it if they just basked. Already got sick of their sabotage and specific stench in the corners.
Classic mousetraps seem to be outdated morally. Rodents have learned to bypass them. It is extremely rare that a mouse comes across. More often in the morning we see an empty, slammed mousetrap already without bait.
Surprisingly, the presence of a cat in the house does not stop the mice. Periodically, the cat brings prey. So there is nothing to scold him for. However, the problem of mice in the house is not radically solved.
I found an interesting idea on the Internet. From what was at hand I made a mousetrap in just a few minutes. A couple of days of work, and a dozen mice have already been caught. Everyone can change the design for themselves. The main principle.
I took a piece of profile for drywall as a basis. I think the mousetrap should be made of iron. So that it is probably not gnawed.
I made two slots in the middle so that the profile could be bent with the letter "P". The lower part is connected to the back with self-tapping screws (see photo). Leave the second element movable.
I took a piece of mesh from the Mazovian air filter. Cut a piece slightly wider than the profile. For rigidity, the sides were bent and doubled. I made a bend on the short side. I inserted a wire into it. The mesh rotates on it like on a hinge.
I close both profiles and fix them with a wire clamp - it's done.
The mousetrap works insanely simple:
- We throw the bait inside.
- The mouse goes to smell and lifts the net with its muzzle.
- I entered, the net closed under its own weight - there is no going back.
The design is fully justified. Works flawlessly. If the material was useful to you, do not forget about the "thumbs up".Subscribe to the channel here.
