How much taxes do summer residents pay?
Hello, gentlemen, summer residents and gardeners!
In this article, I practiced math, made simple calculations and found out how much taxes a Russian summer resident pays on average per year.
I bet that few gardeners have seriously thought about this.
The more interesting, clearer and in some places scary the numbers in my article will be.
Land tax for summer residents
The first tax that comes to mind first is the land tax. The authorities charge about 10-12 thousand rubles a year for our land. It means that every month of owning a dacha costs us from 900 to 1,000 rubles.
Immovable property tax
The second tax is on a residential building in a summer cottage, as well as on other capital (that is, on the foundation) buildings.
In my case, this is another 4,000 rubles, or ~ 350 rubles per month.
Total: 1,350 rubles / month
Well water tax
New - well tax. Since I have it 21 meters deep, I will soon have to pay money for it too. I don’t know how much, but I don’t think the state will charge me less than 1,200 rubles.
Total: 1,450 rubles / month.
Ubiquitous VAT
Next - my favorite - VAT (aka value added tax). It is included in the price of everything that we buy for a summer residence. From bayonet shovels to seeds and seedlings from the store.
Once I calculated that I spend about 60,000 rubles a year on a dacha: this includes water filters, building materials, paint, and much more. We consider: 20% of 60,000 is 12,000 rubles.
Total: 2,450 rubles / month.
Contributions to SDT
Every year we make contributions to the common fund of our SNT - this is another 6,000 rubles a year (including targeted contributions). In terms of 500 rubles per month.
Total: 2,950 rubles / month.
Transport tax + excise taxes
I use a car to get to the dacha. I pay transport tax for it, go through MOT, buy gasoline (its price also includes VAT and excise taxes). According to the most conservative estimates, there are about 24,000 rubles of losses per year (2 thousand per month).
Total: 4,950 rubles / month.
Communal
Add here the variable taxes included in the cost of utilities (gas, electricity), petty expenses and it turns out that every month of owning a cottage costs you at least 6-6.5 thousand rubles.
It seems that you can buy tons of vegetables for 72,000 rubles a year, but can you count your health in the fresh air and the sun ?!
This is the arithmetic.
