Garlic 2020. When and how to plant
I planted garlic on October 7, I will explain why not earlier, not later (region: Kursk).
The term depends on the chosen agricultural technology and the specifics of the season. There are several theories. Your choice!
Autumn is very warm, so it is useless to wait until the soil is, in theory, with a temperature of + 8 - 10 ° C. We have +22 - 23 ° С during the day, +10 -12 ° С at night. I just chose a convenient day.
It is believed that you need to have time to plant a month before frost
With my agricultural technology, you don't have to think about when the first frosts will be. Because I plant the garlic to a depth of about 15 cm. From the first frosts, the soil will not freeze very deeply. So the garlic will have time to take root properly.
In a typical planting, 5 cm deep, frost is critical and soil temperature is critical.
An "ingenious" plan that collapsed
I planted it not as planned at the beginning. It seemed to me that I came up with an "ingenious" quick landing. Namely, with this thing, make holes for each tooth:
Pour fertilizer into each well:
Then put a clove and sprinkle everything with earth.
But…
- The wind prevented the use of this fertilizer (it would have scattered in an instant).
- The ground was hard. Pumpkins grew on it, they were only removed yesterday for the sake of garlic. That is, there was no watering. The soil did not give in to the planter, so they had to dig.
- And plant in grooves with another granular fertilizer:

- I selected the larger chives:
The garlic is really large, grown on classic mineral fertilizers
- Made a groove so that it was possible to deepen the teeth up to 15 cm
- Poured a teaspoon of AVAmin fertilizer with a distance of 15-20 cm
- Deepened her teeth
- Covered them with earth
- First, one longitudinal row, then the second, then the third.

Fertilizer selection is important. After all, fresh organic matter cannot be garlic... ABA is a complex nitrogen-free phosphorus-potassium fertilizer, 48-55% phosphorus and 14-25% potassium. Plus macro-, meso- and microelements.
AVAmin - foamed and granular AVA fertilizer:
Packages of 500 ml (213 g gross weight) were enough for 92 cloves, I planted 95 in total, three controls without fertilization.
