I do not take an ax in my hands
I have long forgotten that feeling when, before lighting a stove or lighting a fire, I took an ax in my hands.
Although before, just like all of you, he squatted down and with a blow of an ax split dry logs into small pieces of wood, playing with his finger the game "catch me with an ax." Perhaps the finger liked such a risk, but the lower back never said "thank you".
Now, instead of an ax, I use a wood splitter - I will not boast, the wood splitter is purchased, not of my own production, although in principle, a skilled man can do the same with his own hands.
I filmed a video of how my impact wood splitter works:
After six months of use, I can note both the pros and cons of the device:
- no need to bend down - a big plus;
- chopping wood takes less energy - also a plus;
- logs have to be pulled together with a rope, otherwise they fall apart -
this is a minus; - the cutting speed has increased - this is a plus;
I also note that the felling process has become much more interesting than with an ordinary ax. And the neighbors are surprised at such a wood splitter, pensioners have never seen such a thing.
I'll make a reservation: to avoid negativity in the comments, I will not advertise anyone and I will not say where I bought my log splitter.
Who wants - he himself will find. I don't sell anything to anyone.
Who is interested in how the wood splitter works - watch the video above.
