Once upon a time, the rafters in the house were covered with mold, and the impregnation did not help. I show you what happened to this a year later.
When you build a house, and all the wooden structures are immediately covered with all sorts of nasty things, it’s somehow not happy to feel in your soul. But in fact, is it worth it to be afraid?
A whole year has passed since that time, and I still remember it ...
Autumn, rains and sometimes snow. And I'm still fiddling with the rafter system in my house. I do everything alone, so the process is slow. And all this time, the wood absorbs and absorbs water.
- And when I finally put the roof on, I calmed down. But it was not there.
Mauerlat, rafters, screeds, all elements were damaged by mold.
At the same time, all this was pre-processed with all sorts of impregnations, but apparently there is a limit to everything. And for several months in the rains, nothing can survive.
Of course, after that I went through the antiseptic again, but if it would help I didn't know.
It's time to draw conclusions.
It played into my hands that all this time I did not touch the roof.
✅ If such a damaged tree is immediately insulated and sewn up, then it is unlikely that something would help it. And so frost and drafts do their job.
During all this time, the tree has dried out perfectly, which even had to tighten the studs on the joints.
And it seems to me that air is the best antiseptic.
What you don't smear on the tree, if there is a humid, cold environment around, then nothing will help here.
And in my case, it doesn't smell like mold...
But I don't know if it is worth bleaching the wood from traces of old mold? Will it not hurt in the future? Write in the comments if you know.

And like 👍 put, it gives enthusiasm 😊.
