Compared how roads are laid in Germany and in Russia
Recently I came across a video on the Internet, where in just 10 seconds the process of laying asphalt on a highway in Germany and in Russia is compared. At the same time, in Germany, the so-called. "betonka" is specifically a new exit from the autobahn, and in Russia - a federal highway.
Here is the controversial video itself:
Of course, jokes are jokes, but I decided to find out what norms and rules for road construction are in force in Germany. For this I turned to my friend Yuri Babaev, who worked for many years on a construction site in this country.
The first - planning is the head.
Roads in Germany are built on the basis of territorial development plans, which are approved at least 25-30 years before construction begins.
That is, for 30 years the Germans know where a new suburb will grow or what lands will be annexed to the city, which means that there will be a need for a road.
Largely thanks to planning, there are almost no bottlenecks here: all car traffic is calculated and accounted for.
Second - high-quality base.
Yura claims that according to the estimate, up to 60% of its cost is spent on the so-called "cushion" of the road. It turns out that asphalt is not the most expensive part of the highway.
The litter is a geotextile of 500 density, if necessary, a geogrid (in the photo below), sand, crushed stone and impregnation in the form of mastic are laid.
Third - The most modern construction equipment
The amount of manual labor (and therefore hack) in Germany during repair and construction is reduced to nothing. A unique technique, really unprecedented in Russia, works.
For example, there is a special excavator nozzle for a perfectly smooth roadside cut:
Fourth - They don't save on the roads
The construction is being monitored by so many officials, local activists and inspectors that, with all the desire, it will not work.
And here, perhaps, everyone saw that the asphalt was laid in snow and rain ...
