A way to lay tiles without crosses: a beginner can do it too
Anyone who, at least once in his life, laid tiles in the toilet, bathroom or kitchen on his own, probably knows what kind of hemorrhage to align everything perfectly.
Only the professionals in the video do it well.
And even "plus signs" or "crosses" do not always help to achieve a perfectly even joint between the tiles.
I am already silent about the thickness of the adhesive layer for the tiles. This is a topic for a separate article.
But both problems have a solution. For example, in India, in order to lay large areas of tiles, craftsmen have long made patterns. They are tailored to the most popular tile sizes and save time. Look how smartly it turns out to be laid according to the pattern:
The essence is simple - we apply a thin layer of glue, and then we apply a template welded from a thin metal rod to the tile. Even handles are attached to the template for added convenience.
It remains only to "put" the tiles into the cells, and the trick is done.
I would have known this technology earlier, it would have been better to spend an hour to weld a template than a day to lay out the floor in the toilet.
