Noise insulation of the floor. Working with a respirator, styling problems, fear of failure, and other "fun" in my work.
Each time a new job piques my interest, and I am eagerly starting it. And even when you scratch yourself at the end, you're still happy π¬.
Friends, I am glad to welcome everyone... The preparatory work has passed and now you can put the sound insulation itself into the ceiling.
β All background on my channel, come in.
To do this, I bought just such a stone wool.
It says so - "soundproofing", so I think for a long time and did not choose.
I planned to lay a layer with a thickness of 150 mm, but I bought not 100 and 50 mm slabs, but all 50. It was just that it was more profitable at that moment, as now I don't know, see the prices for yourself ..
And the process began ...
It would seem that there is something complicated, took and scattered everything quickly. But when for yourself, you don't want to and it doesn't work.
First, all these trimming, cutting corners, etc.
Here it is better not to hack, especially with stone wool, which has a high density. If you shove it as it is, then quality filling will not work.
And it is not always quick to install sound insulation between the beams.
Of course, there is also a cant sing:
- The distances between the beams walk a little, and the ideal 580 mm is not always maintained.
- Where it came out less dense stone wool came in tight, clinging to a tree. So I had to work hard there.
By the way, about "sweat":
Clothes that cover the body as much as possible, a respirator, gloves, a hat. How glad I am that I did all this not in the summer but in the fall.
Even at temperatures closer to zero, you start sweating and suffocating very quickly in such equipment, and under the respirator everything "flows". As professionals (people doing it regularly), work in such conditions, and even in the summer, I can't imagine.
Although honestly admit the most negative sensations at the beginning, and then you get used to it more or less.
And you are not even afraid to fall through this "pseudo-floor".
But with all this, stone wool seeped to the body, and in some places it was scratched. What would it be like if we neglected all this protection? I think the feeling is much worse.
And at the end of the work, you don't remember all the discomfort at all.
And you only rejoice at the result ...
So I only made one half of the overlap and the other... On the second, there was a bunch of everything that I had nowhere to put, but I didn't want to go down. So I decided to finish one part, relocate all the good to it, and then get into a fight with the other half.
Well, what will be the next stage, see the following articles.
subscribe to the channel, and like π. soundproofing on stone wool does not end there.
