Our find: a fast way to process tomatoes
We don't like pickled and salted tomatoes very much. It makes no sense to procure a lot of jars. And the canning process itself is somewhat annoying.
And suddenly it dawned! The method does not cause any discomfort and gives a 100% guarantee of quick elimination of the product.
What do we do
- My tomatoes, any
- Cut out the stalk
- We twist it through m... (one subscriber, apparently a vegetarian, asked not to mention this word :)
- We pour into such containers to the top
- Cover with lids and into the freezer
Tomato juice does not expand like water, as it was put in the freezer, that's how it costs. The containers keep their shape well on top of each other. We placed them on 2 floors.
Shortly before cooking, we take the containers with tomato juice out of the freezer and place them on the table. They thaw a little, and we make these lollipops:
We add these candies to borsch, soup, stew, where we need it. The consumption is high, so the freezer empties quickly. The fact that ice is added to the dishes has a great effect on the taste.
We also freeze the whole tomatoes, but remove the skin with them before adding to the dish. Despite the fact that for some reason there is always no time, unnecessary operations do not attract :)
