A good solution to close the openings and entrance of the gazebo, open veranda or terrace
Soft plastic windows
When I write about various useful things for suburban life, comparing one or another tool and indicating prices for products, many believe that I advertise something, although I do not have any references to the manufacturer, or the names of companies or brands. I mention. But such is the human nature, to look for a dirty trick in any information, and even more so in positive information.
The fact is that building something or buying an instrument, through the choice and selection of the right decision, stuffing cones and losing money, I went through everything myself. As it is rightly said that a fool learns from his mistakes, and an intelligent one from strangers. So read, and learn from other people's mistakes, don't be... well, you get the idea. I often "bought" on advertising chips, but after a year or two, realizing that either I did not need it, OR the advertisement misled me, I myself monitored a topic that was of interest to me at that time and made a decision independently, and as a rule, this decision was the only one true.
I wrote about a septic tank on the site, my choice was made, what you need to have on the site - about brazier or tandoor - also discussed.
After the house was erected on the site, the first structure that was built after the house is a gazebo in which you can hide from the rain and indulge in a barbecue. I published an article “about your gazebo». In the comments, the question was asked: "What are these" soft windows "on my gazebo." Now I'll tell you about them.
After the gazebo was built and built a brazierDuring the operation of the gazebo, it became clear that it was impossible to use such a beautiful structure in bad weather or in the winter season. It means that the openings must be closed, but so that it is easy to wash and open it in warm weather.
The question arose, how to close the openings?
It took me a long time to choose what to use: order plastic windows for the gazebo openings or use sliding glass shutters. But prices for plastic and glass weren't just staggering numbers, they were outrageous.
I came across an advertisement for "soft windows". Having a negative experience of using goods and services from rubbing advertising theses into my ears, I approached this issue carefully. I was lucky that one of my comrades opened a company for the installation of such windows, he, without imposing, explained the difference between the various types of closing windows and openings. I believed, especially since there was someone to ask later :)
Soft windows are made of special films of various thicknesses, from 500 to 2000 microns - the thicker the film, the stronger the product. Windows are made using specialized waterproof synthetic polyester fabric and lavsan thread or welded (soldered) - using polyvinyl chloride cloth and high-temperature air welding.
A very important factor. You can choose any color for the soft windows, from white to impossibly stupid, i.e. the color can be matched to the color of the platbands or the color of the house.
Soft windows can withstand temperatures from -40 to + 80⁰C, without losing their original properties, i.e. do not grow cloudy and do not crack.
The decision was made, we stopped in our choice on the "film" solution to the issue of closing the gazebo openings.
In order for the conscience to be calm, that the choice was the right one, we decided first to make "soft windows" only on the gazebo.
The firm accepted the order. Everything turned out to be easy and simple: the measurer came into our darkness with a cockroach, took measurements, and two weeks later a team of three arrived, which was already installing "soft windows" in place. The team coped with it in half a day.
The advantages of the technical solution in the installation of precisely "soft windows" against other "heavy" materials are the fact that the windows are fastened with metal brackets and can be removed or replaced at any time and each in separately.
Windows can be rolled up with a tube and secured at the top with straps, which are also on the window.
After the windows were made in the gazebo, it was clear that this was the best solution for dealing with wind and bad weather.
In winter, everyone gathers to celebrate the New Year in the gazebo, outside minus 20-25, the room is closed "Soft windows", the barbecue is on fire, a barbecue is being prepared, the table is set for meeting NG, and in the gazebo it is warm and cozy. Snow outside the windows... It's just a fabulous feeling of the upcoming holiday.
After a couple of years, we decided to make "soft windows" on the house itself. Considering the complexity of the structure, the height and "set" of openings of different sizes, the price was higher, but I do not regret a ruble, since the house has received additional protection from wind, snow and rain. We got an open veranda, sheltered from the weather.
So what are the advantages of "soft windows" from classic plastic, aluminum or glass structures.
In advertising, everyone writes that the service life of high-quality flexible windows is up to 10 years, but how many years such products will not last nobody knows, tk. such windows appeared on the market exactly 10 years ago and that is why the approximate service life is set.
Add info here. My windows on the gazebo have been hanging for 7 years. In the spring I wash them with a Kärcher sink. For the entire period of operation, no scratches or cracks. The zippers used to close the "passages" are all intact.
Declaring the service life of 10 years, the manufacturer could not focus on other terms, since more than 10 years old until I have used "soft windows", it is impossible to compare, which means that the service life is much longer than declared. When I made windows for the gazebo, they gave me a 5-year guarantee, today it's already 10. I think the real term of using "soft windows" without problems is 25 years.
Expensive, of course. Soft windows for the gazebo cost 75,000 rubles (about 36 sq. m.), for a house and a tandoor 135,000 rubles.
I am not convincing you for the "power of the councils." Soft windows made of synthetic polyester fabric are used in my buildings. During the operation, there are no complaints about them.
Of course, it will seem expensive, but a good product is always expensive. But "soft windows" in the end cost us several times cheaper if we installed plastic or glass. A miser pays twice.
