A simple idea from ordinary loops. DIY hidden shelf
Today I want to share with you a simple but useful homemade idea that I implemented in my workshop. It is useful to everyone who has limited space in the workshop (garage).
Over time, on my desktop, the machines took up almost all the free space. Among them is a grinding machine (sharpener), which is mostly idle. Therefore, I made sure that it did not interfere, but at the same time was always at hand.
To carry out my plan, I needed only two long (gate) loops, which can be bought at any hardware store, a piece of board (plywood) and a few screws.
First of all, I made the markings on the hinges.
To do this, I put the loop to the table and put a marker with a marker at a distance equal to the thickness of the table.
Then he clamped the noose in a vice.
And with the help of a hammer, he bent it along the marked line. The same operation was repeated with the second loop.
In the end, the loops looked like this.
Then I screwed them to the board with screws. Additionally, I fixed the loops near the bend by drilling holes in them.
Then he turned the board over, fixed the hinges to the table and set the machine on top.
At the end, I cut off a piece of the chain, secured it under the table and screwed the self-tapping screw from the end of the board. The final touch was two hooks that I screwed under the table (the wire is wound around them). The result is a very convenient homemade product, with which you can quickly hide and get the machine. Thus, the machine is always at hand, but at the same time does not take up space on the table.
