Do not throw away old metal blades! I share ideas of useful homemade products for the workshop
Almost every home craftsman has such an irreplaceable tool as a hacksaw for metal. She will not only help out if you need to saw off the head of a rusty bolt or saw through a thick steel wire somewhere in the field (if not the opportunity to use the grinder), but with its help you can get the most accurate cut, which is sometimes very difficult to make grinder.
During the operation of hacksaws, saw blades for metal break and wear out, after which we simply send them to the trash can. But do not rush to throw them away, because they can still be useful! Today I will share with you ideas of useful homemade products that will come in handy in the workshop.
1. For the first homemade product, take two halves of the saw blades. With the help of a grinder, we cut off their edges at an angle and blunt the ends a little.
Then we drill the existing holes and connect the files with a bolt and a nut, placing three more nuts between them. We expose the canvases parallel to each other and tighten the entire structure well.
And lo and behold! You will have a pair of tweezers that come in handy for small parts or soldering wires. I think it's a good use for old canvases.
2. Also, two broken files can be used to make another useful tool. We re-drill the holes and tighten the canvases with the thumbscrew bolt.
Perhaps someone thought it was medieval scissors! But no, this simplest tool is called small and it serves to transfer and fix different angles when measuring or drawing.
3. But if you cut off pieces of canvases, as in the case of tweezers, only leaving one tip sharp. Then connect them with a wing bolt.
And fix a simple pencil (you can use ordinary electrical tape). Then you get a small compass that will help out in difficult times.
4. For the next homemade product, we need a whole canvas. We fix it with self-tapping screws to the wall of our workshop, placing washers under the holes.
And that's all, a useful device is ready. Now, if you need to tear off an even piece of sandpaper (both paper and fabric), then you will do it quickly and without any effort.
5. If you make a similar design, but instead of washers, place small nuts under the saw blade.
You will have a handy holder for building tape measures. I think that in addition to tape measures, you can also hang some other instrument in this way.
