Versatile plywood tripod for a variety of tasks

I was puzzled by the issue of local lighting of the workplace last summer.

I bought LED strips, a power supply for them and made lighting squares 360x360 mm.

Then I attached these squares to temporary stands made from scrap materials and have used them to this day.

But the thought of making a normal tripod for lighting, as well as for a camera and possibly other things did not leave me.

As a result, I came to this design.

The base was made in the form of a triangle, because it can be stably placed on an uneven surface.

It is more convenient to cut this shape with a jigsaw, and then go through straight sections with a plane for leveling.

I made a plywood base 90 cm high. And on top, I fixed a movable block with a hole for a 25 mm pipe.

This block can be tilted in two directions. The tilt is fixed with a wing.

I installed a meter-long pipe in the center, which can also be fixed at different heights.

The same block for securing the pipe is made from above.

So far I made one tripod to test its convenience and fixed one of the lighting squares on it.

Here's a tripod turned out. The maximum height is two meters.
