What can a violation of the process of concrete crystallization lead to?

The hardening and crystallization of a concrete mixture is a very complex process. During these processes, moisture evaporates, and the composite of the elements becomes calcium hydrate.

The main mistakes that can lead to poor-quality concrete placement
The main mistakes that can lead to poor-quality concrete placement

In the process of hardening, the following errors can occur, which can subsequently lead to a loss of elasticity and softness of the mixture, without which high-quality styling will not work in the future:

1. Making concrete mix in large portions in slow mode;

2. Violation of the temperature regime of crystallization;

3. Lack of regular stirring of the mixture;

4. The quality of the filler and other elements;

5. Lack of substance homogeneity;

6. Insufficient density of the concrete mix;

7. Incorrect ratio of water to cement.

Fracture of the structure along the entire height, cracking, various deformations

There is no unequivocal answer about what will happen if the crystallization process is disturbed. However, from the experience of my fellow builders, as well as from my experience, you can make a list of popular consequences that can be encountered in the future if the crystallization technology is violated. I'll tell you more about them:

1. Cracking. Yes, this is a banal consequence. But if crystallization is disturbed, there is nowhere to hide from it. If cracks are formed in the concrete not of the through type, but the builders after some quality studies are advised to carry out major repairs and continue the operation of the structure, then you can consider that you are very lucky;

2. Fracture of the structure along the entire height. This is a much worse consequence than cracks. Especially when the break occurred in an already erected and used building. The same applies not only to the foundation, but also, for example, walls or floors. Crystallization of the concrete mixture is often accompanied by the formation of cracks in the already created masonry;

3. Various deformations. These can be creases, dents, splits, etc. They are formed when the structure is prematurely demolished and the concrete remains slightly damp. In this situation, I recommend postponing the removal of the formwork to a later date. If this cannot be done, then you need to perform any processes softer and without jerks;

Cracks are a common consequence due to improper crystallization of the concrete mixture

4. Damage to a structure (for example, concrete walls). Subsequently, this will lead to the descent of the plaster. Another example is the departure of a tile from a screed made of a concrete mixture in the early stages of crystallization, on which the structure was laid.

To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to strictly observe the crystallization time of the concrete mixture. In addition, it is important to devote time to temperature conditions and other standards.
