Small does not mean weak! Review of the cool BOSCH GSB 12V-15 screwdriver!

Today I want to tell you a little about my little assistant - a screwdriver from the company #Bosch. This is the model GSB 12V-15. It replaced the 10-volt screwdriver. The battery voltage in this version is 12 Volts, and the maximum charge current is 4 A. The battery is now charging much faster, which is very pleasing. The battery is interchangeable and backward compatible, as is the charger. This is quite an important point!

A distinctive feature of this model is its compact size and low weight, which together with the battery is about 900-1000 grams. The screwdriver is smaller and easier to find. At the same time, the characteristics of torque and power for such a "baby" are impressive.

Impact screwdriver Bosch GSB 12V-15 has:

• two speeds (0-420 / 0-1600 rpm)
• smooth speed control by pulling the trigger
• reverse
• single sleeve keyless chuck (from 1.5 to 10mm)
• new brushless motor

The tool is packed in a plastic box. The set includes the screwdriver itself, a powerful charger and two batteries. I'll write right away about the shortcomings of the kit and external features. The case is small. It does not provide separate storage space for additional parts. It is made of rather thin plastic. Previously, suitcases looked more reliable and durable. There is no loop or hook on the screwdriver. It seems like a trifle, but it is not so comfortable to perform work at height.

The maximum torque of the screwdriver is 30Nm. In comparison with other similar models, the engine has no power loss at low speeds, heats up less during operation, and has slightly higher speeds. The maximum drilling diameter in metal is 10mm, in wood - 20mm. The maximum diameter of the screws to be driven is 8mm. But I will tell you firmly, from my own experience, I worked with this screwdriver and with more complex tasks - coped with a bang !!!

Single sleeve chuck, reverse, backlight - standard set. But backlighting is honestly not very convenient, but sometimes it can help. The grip is comfortable.

I want to devote a couple of lines impact functions. Due to the fact that the coupling has two ring adjusters - the first is the choice of mode (chiseling / drilling / screwdriving) and the second - setting the torque to 20 positions, this screwdriver in one click switches from drilling mode to twisting. And all this - without turning the coupling around its axis by 270 degrees in a shockless screwdriver and without the need to re-set the torque.

By the way, when purchasing this model, you can issue a full warranty on the manufacturer's website - 3 years, not the standard 12 monthsthat are provided in most stores!
