How to get a free land plot from the state?

You can get a land plot only once in a lifetime. There are some requirements and conditions that apply to a person who wants to get a land plot for free. It must be a citizen of the Russian Federation with permanent registration, who does not own other land, and in some regions of the country - and other real estate. You can only apply for plots that are at the disposal of the state, region or municipality.

Be prepared for the fact that the land will not be immediately given to you. First, the site is allocated for use free of charge. And only after 5 years (in some regions, a different period) of land use for its intended purpose, you will be able to apply for re-registration of the site for yourself.

Who can qualify for a free plot of ownership?

Some privileged categories of citizens can apply for land. Lists in each region may differ. Therefore, I will talk about the categories at the Federal level and the main categories in the regions.

At the federal level, these are:

• Heroes of the Russian Federation and the USSR,

• Heroes of Labor and Socialist Labor,
• Cavaliers of the Order of Glory.

At the regional level, these are:

• Large families with the birth of three or more children. At the same time, at the time of submission of documents, children must not reach the age of majority.
• Young families with a child,
• Young professionals and public sector workers,
• Veterans,
• Chernobyl victims,
• Military personnel,
• Children of the fallen heroes
• People with disabilities or families with a disabled child.

To queue up for receiving a plot, you must submit an application, attaching the required package of documents to it. What documents are required will depend on which category you belong to.

There is a basic procedure for obtaining a free site:

1. Obtaining a preferential category, confirmation that you can apply for the site.

2. Preparation of the required documentation.

3. Submission of an application with a package of documents attached to it.

4. Waiting for your application to be reviewed (about 30 days).

5. Getting the result. After the expiration of the 30-day period, you will either be put in a queue for receiving land, or you will be given a justified refusal.
