How to register a newborn in an apartment? List of documents and steps!
Today I will begin my article with a reminder that the responsibility for the lack of registration for a child under the age of 18 lies entirely with his parents. In the absence of a residence permit, parents can be fined. Russian legislation requires registration of every citizen, even a newly born baby. The registration of a newborn child is given 3 months from the date of birth.
There are usually no problems with registering a baby. The child is registered at the place of registration of one of the parents. Registration can be either permanent or temporary. There are no requirements for this item.
To register a newborn baby, you only need to have documents and registration with the parents.
Before registering a baby at the place of residence, you must issue a birth certificate for him. Now this is done in the offices of the registry office. Many maternity hospitals have representatives of the registry office who deal with these issues. Therefore, you can draw up a document right at the hospital.
Required documents:
- Medical certificate from the maternity hospital,
- Parents' passport,
- Marriage certificate (if any).
The parents of the baby or relatives or third parties have the right to issue a birth certificate if they have a power of attorney certified by a notary.
Having issued a birth certificate, you can apply for a child's residence permit. You can leave an application at the MFC, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Migration Service, or through the State Services. Or, you can personally contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs without first filling out an application. You must take the original documents with you.
