Carpentry tricks. How to visually highlight the panel on the facades
Greetings.
Now I am making a kitchen set for myself. I make the facades for it from oak.
Usually, before assembling the facade, parts of the panels, which are inserted into the grooves of the frame, are painted so that if the facade "plays" from changes in humidity, the unpainted parts do not climb out.
I decided to do two things at a time: paint these parts of the panels and visually shade and give more depth to the facade.
For this I used a dark oak water-based varnish. About this varnish and about the spray gun with which I work now, you can see here.
To paint only the parts I need, I use a wide masking tape.
I assemble the facade after the paint has dried.
After that, I already do the external milling of the facade, finally grind it and varnish it.
I personally like how it turns out in the product.
My kitchen is not completely ready yet. When finished, I'll show you the entire set.
