Making a simple table for a drilling machine
Greetings.
Six months ago, I talked about my drilling machine. Who is curious to see the review, then go link.
Everything in the machine suits me except for one thing - the absence of a large table with an emphasis for working with large parts.
Hands finally reached the point of making such a table.
A plywood base, a block and a piece of plywood from these blanks and decided to make a table. It turns out a very simple design.
I did not move the support bar or the table itself to adjust the position of the drill, since the capabilities of the machine itself make it easy to do.
The spindle can be moved 110-430 mm from the column.
In addition, the distance from the drill to the stop bar can be adjusted by turning the table.
You could just screw the bar in plywood, and fix the limiter for the part with a clamp, but I decided to lighten this adjustment a little and make a T-shaped groove in the bar.
Then I made holes in the table for fastening bolts with which the plywood is screwed to the "native" table of the drilling machine.
And then I screwed the T-slot bar to the base.
I drilled a hole for the bolt in the stop. I used a furniture bolt with a round head. The hat was slightly larger than the groove and I grinded it off on both sides. So it walks well along the groove and the bolt does not turn when tightened.
The table is attached to the machine with two bolts and it takes just a couple of minutes.
Experienced this table on facades. I drilled a hole for the hinges.
For clarity, I suggest watching a short video clip.
