For summer residents: 5 useful homemade plastic bottles that will make gardening everyday easier
The Internet is replete with various ideas of useful life hacks for the garden and vegetable garden from a simple plastic bottle. I have prepared for you 5 of the best, in my opinion, homemade products, which I use with pleasure on my site. The products that I will tell you about really make my dacha life easier.
1. Strawberry props. I think every summer resident knows that props are a prerequisite for growing any kind of strawberry. Strawberries lie on the ground without props and spoil as a result. And it’s commonplace to eat such a berry straight from the garden, because in this case it becomes an easy treat for slugs. Supports are the best solution to protect strawberries. It is best to make them from 5 liter bottles. To make props, zigzag the bottom of the bottle. Make a bush-sized hole in the center of the bottle. Next, cut the resulting shape and, putting it on a bush, fix it with a sharp end in the ground.
2. Drip irrigation or dehumidifier. To make such a watering system, you need a bottle and a couple of sponges. The resulting mechanism will not emit, but rather take in moisture, allowing summer residents to forget about watering for 4-5 days. To make a drip device, cut small holes throughout the bottle. Cut the lips into squares and fill the bottle with them. Bury the resulting form next to the beds. Pour water into bottles before dry weather. The plants will absorb the required amount of moisture themselves.
3. Filtration system for fertilizers. To make such a system, cut off the bottom of the bottle. Next, make holes in it, and fix the resulting shape on a piece of wood. With the help of the resulting system, you can easily scoop the infusion with fertilizer.
4. Insect protection mechanism. And this is the fastest and most useful life hack for summer residents. Simply cut off the top of a large plastic bottle and cover your food with it. Such a system will allow you to hide food from flies and other insects.
5. Hose holder. Such a system will allow you not to stand near the filling water and not watch the barrel. A simple mechanism will hold the hose and prevent it from jumping out of the container. To make a holder, cut off the bottom edge of the bottle. Make cuts around the edges of the mold. Unscrew the lid and slide the system over the rim of the vessel. Pass the hose through the neck of the bottle. Done. The hose is now firmly attached and will not jump out.
