Sheathing the bath. A friend advised these things for fixing the lining
Greetings.
For those who are professionally engaged in finishing and construction, there is nothing new and unusual in these things. I don't often come across such work.
Now the task arose to sheathe the bath with clapboard from the inside. Naturally, I wanted to make the casing so that the fasteners were not visible.
At first I thought to use finishing nails, but I successfully met a friend who has been building and finishing for many years and he advised me a slightly different way.
By the way, 15 years ago, there were no finishing nails on sale, and at that time this issue was solved simply: the head of an ordinary nail was bitten off. Then the platbands were nailed with such nails without a head when installing the doors, and it was difficult to find the attachment point.
It turns out that there are special fittings for such tasks - kleimers. With their help, it is convenient to make hidden fastening for various profile panels, including lining.
I looked on the Internet to see what kind of things they were and decided to try to make cladding with their help.
Clapboards for lining are sold in different sizes and this size depends on the parameters of the lining itself. For my tasks, I took # 3.
The kit also included small nails for fastening, but they are rather inconvenient to nail, so I bought more authentic nails, which turned out to be much more convenient to work with.
The lining is sewn in this way from top to bottom.
In general, it turned out to be quite convenient to sheathe a bath using kleimers, and the price for them is low.
To complete the cladding of the purchased fasteners, I was not enough, and it was lazy to go to the store because of several boards, so I fixed the remaining lining by simply hammering the finishing nail into the groove.
