Spotlights are bad manners of modern renovation! Why can't spotlights be used?
More recently, spotlights were an element of great style and good renovation. They were wanted, asked for, and installed in their homes and apartments by 90% of people. But over time, the situation began to change ...
To be honest, I thought that spotlights, as well as multi-level plasterboard ceilings, had already "moved away" and are no longer used in design projects. But lately, one after another, I have come across clients who have to convince that spotlights have nothing to do with originality, beauty and good lighting.
Now I will give you the arguments why spotlights should not be installed in rooms.
1. Spotlights burn out regularly. Bulbs have to be changed every 2-4 months. You may not pay attention to this point, thinking that this is the norm - after all, all the bulbs burn out both on ordinary lamps and on chandeliers. Yes this is true. Only when you have to change 1-2-5 bulbs every half a year is one thing. And when you have to change 40-50 lamps within 3 months, this is completely different. Anyone who has installed spotlights for themselves, over time, simply stop paying attention to burned out bulbs.
2. Spotlights spoil the design. Yes, many people think that they look good and beautiful. But no!
- It is beautiful only when they all burn. And as we have already found out, they all soon stop burning.
- Secondly, it's beautiful when you look at the lamps. But very few people consider the lamps. Because when they do not burn, it is ugly. And when they all burn, it blinds the eyes.
- Thirdly, spotlights create a special light that brings wall design from a completely disadvantageous perspective. The light from spotlights does not spread evenly, but in a cone, “beams of light”. It looks unpleasant. It seems that the wall is humped or unevenly lit.
- Spotlights do not provide uniform light, which enhances design and decorates the environment. Such light breaks the lines, contours and spoils the appearance of the room.
3. Spotlights shine strongly and unpleasantly in the eyes. They give uncomfortable and unpleasant light for the eyes. This is especially noticeable in the bathroom or, for example, in a massage chair, when you want to relax, and the light from spotlights literally "burns out" your eyes. This is a very strong discomfort. Even with your eyes closed, you will see bright spots.
4. Spotlights provide very little light. No matter how many you install them, there will be less light than from a normal full-fledged chandelier. They shine a beam strictly on the floor and do not fill the room with light. You will miss the light all the time.
5. Spotlights are unreasonably expensive. This is an overpayment in everything. These are additional costs during the installation of electrical wiring, the purchase of a power supply, installation and maintenance of lamps. In fact, the total cost of 10-20 fixtures is much higher than the cost of a good chandelier.
6. Some spotlights are also traumatic. Because when heated, they break off and shatter.
My dear readers! Please give up spotlights! And in one of the following publications, I will tell you alternative options for replacing them.
