For a long time I chose a construction stapler for my home. Stopped on mechanical. I tell you why

Now I am renovating my workshop and there is a need for a construction stapler. Basically, this is the task of fixing a wind-steam protective film for insulation and also fiberboard.

At first I thought about buying an electric stapler. I began to study this issue. Inexpensive staplers, neither in terms of characteristics nor reviews, did not cause a desire to buy.

The more expensive ones already exceeded my tasks, so they were also ignored.

And what's left? It remains to look at mechanical construction staplers. But there were so many different models of them that their eyes literally run up.

In this case, as usual, the principle helped: "Divide and .." In general, I formulated several requirements for myself and proceeded to choose.

Of course, compared to electric staplers, a mechanical stapler needs force to compress the lever. But you can look at it as a kind of training with an expander. Plus, a mechanical stapler doesn't need electricity.

As a result, out of many options, I settled on a mid-priced model that can hammer not only staples, but also small nails. In addition, this stapler was on sale in a nearby store.

This is the matrix 40901 model. The maximum length of nails and staples is 14 mm. Staple type 36.140. Type of nails 300, 500.

The stapler has a screw on top, which can additionally compress the shock spring and thereby increase the impact force.

Like all such staplers, he sometimes jammed the staples and you need to manually shake them out. Also, when hammering, you need to firmly press the stapler to the surface.

With this stapler I have already worked a little. Rectangular staples can be driven perfectly. The nails also did not show themselves badly, they nailed lining slats with them when making the door to the bathhouse, and also nailed plinths in the bathhouse.

Sometimes it does not finish nails, even in soft wood, and fiberboard nails well. For quick fixing of fiberboard sheets, I think it is quite suitable, but I still have to check it.

And for the price it is really average and suits my tasks well.
