Heat in the bath from one bookmark of firewood! How to fold the logs correctly to keep the wood stove working at full capacity?
What is the main thing in a bath? So that the heat was more, but it lasted longer! Is it possible to make an armful of firewood burn out more slowly and give more heat? Of course! The main thing is to put the logs in the oven correctly. Read on for how to do it right!
Studied by experts, tested on their own experience!
In principle, for many, I will not reveal any secret. Many of us used to burn bonfires as children and know how to stack firewood correctly to start a fire. But still there are some differences in laying firewood in a sauna stove and laying firewood for a fire. Let's figure it out.
For efficient kindling of the stove and a slow but productive burnout, we need logs of different sizes and small firewood for ignition.
In order for the logs to light up gradually and burn longer, you need to fold them correctly.
Below we put the largest logs possible. Let there be 3-4 of them, but they should be thicker and make a kind of "closing strip".
Important! The logs must be folded as much as possible. tightly to each other. Imagine it is Tetris, where the details must match. This is done in order not to let air (or rather oxygen) pass through.
Next, we fold the wood, reducing its size. That is, 2-4 large thick logs are already stacked below. Above are medium-sized logs. And closer to the top of the stove, we lay down firewood, on which we place chips and small woods for kindling.
Logs of all sizes should be laid out as tightly as possible to each other. Build a strong solid wall from this wooden construction kit - from largest to smallest. Ideally, the whole firebox of the stove should be filled with logs.
Another important point! We set firewood on fire. You need to do this from above! So that the logs smolder from top to bottom. This way the wood will burn more efficiently.
Not all wood is involved in burning at the same time. Small logs and chips from above begin to flare up quickly, developing a temperature of 350 °, due to which larger firewood is gradually warmed up. The heating of the underlying firewood occurs gradually, and the release of gases from the tree occurs evenly.
As a result, the thicker the logs become, the lower the rate of their heating and burning will be. The firewood will burn for about 2-4 hours. Thanks to this layout, all the gases emitted will burn out in the firebox. And if you watch the chimney, you will not see smoke - it means that the firewood burns out slowly - that is, everything is done clearly and correctly!
Dense firewood, Bottom-up from large - to smaller, Firing from top-down - all this will allow the logs to burn better, producing maximum heat and giving maximum heat! Thus, the oven will operate at full capacity!
Consider these three rules when firing up the stove!
Then its efficiency will increase, and from an armful of firewood you can squeeze out the maximum amount of heat!
