Our today's heroine Elena is a novice master. In her house there was such an old lacquered cabinet, or rather a small chest of drawers.

His condition is quite satisfactory - the body is intact, the fronts of the drawers and the table top are not seriously scratched. That is, it is still quite possible to use it. But he looks very boring and in a modern interior such furniture does not look very good.

Elena decided to repaint it to match her decor in the apartment, at the same time and train the skills of a master in altering furniture and decor.

The woman used special chalk paints that are great for any furniture surfaces. To use them, it is absolutely not necessary to remove the old top coat, even if it is varnish. It is enough just to degrease the entire surface well.

If the product is initially dark, and repainting is planned in a lighter color, then it is advisable to make a primer. Otherwise, the color may be distorted, it will turn out not so dense or not light enough.

Having completed all the preparatory work, Elena proceeded to repaint her chest of drawers, having previously selected a gray color for it.

She did not change the handles - in silver form they perfectly matched the new decor.

But just repainting the work was not enough. The master used special volumetric stickers in the form of stylish patterns. They are painted with silver paint, which perfectly matches the handles and legs of the dresser.

The result is a very stylish piece in a pleasant gray-silver shade that looks much better in a modern interior. The owner of the dresser is very pleased with the result and received a lot of positive emotions during the whole work.

In my opinion, it turned out really beautiful. There is a time for everything, once a brown chest of drawers was stylish, but a new time has come. You can just throw away the old furniture, or you can, like Elena, give it a new life and use it for many more years.
