A married couple lives in a dorm room - at last, they have made repairs. Photo was / is now
The issue of their own separate housing has always been a problem for many young married couples. Not all apartments are inherited or as a gift from their parents, and not everyone has the opportunity to take out a mortgage.
Once upon a time there were many dormitories - rooms in them were given to employees of enterprises and some families lived in them all their lives. Now there are few such housing conditions, but they are.
A young married couple owns such a dorm room. They got the premises in a very poor condition - it seems that there had not been any repairs there since Soviet times.
On the walls there are shabby wallpaper, on the floor torn linoleum, yellowed white paint - it was even unpleasant to go there, not that to live.
The young people immediately decided to make repairs. Inexpensive, but neat - to be neat, clean and comfortable.
The ceiling was made stretch - it was the easiest thing to do than to level, putty, paint over the disgrace that was left of the previous tenants.
We bought a budget laminate in a light shade for the floor. The walls were simply painted with a plain light gray paint - stylish and practical.
A folding sofa is used as a bed. On it you can relax during the day, watch TV.
The window was curtained with light white tulle with a blue curtain. A linen closet and a curbstone were placed in front of the TV - a TV set will soon appear above it.
The sleeping and rest area was delimited by a pretty curtain. It is followed by the kitchen - very compact, but its own. There was a large two-compartment refrigerator, several cupboards and a sink. A microwave oven was hung on the wall. There is a washing machine in one of the cupboards.
Many will probably ask where the stove is. The hostel has a shared kitchen, there are stoves where you can cook on gas. But the family also bought a small electric one, it is simply not in sight - you can always get it, put it on the countertop and cook food.
There is a dining table opposite the kitchen area. This is all that is in the living room. Modest but very neat.
Young people are glad that they have, albeit such a small, but their own "nest". But there is no need to pay for a rented apartment - it is better to save this money and buy more spacious housing in the future.
In my opinion, a very good repair came out, and the room turned out to be quite cozy.
We wish the couple well-being and the earliest possible acquisition of a full-fledged apartment!
❓❓❓ How about renovating a dorm room? Could you live in such conditions?
